Master of Arts in Christian Counseling
The Master of Arts in Christian Counseling is for those students who would like to practice Christian Counseling in pastoral ministry and para-church organizations such as Christian schools, Christian crisis pregnancy centers, etc. The Master of Arts in Christian Counseling does not qualify a person to sit for state licensure or board exams but rather for Christian, vocational ministry.
The Master of Arts in Christian Counseling comprises four parts for the student to complete or provide proof of completion.
- Core Requirements – 24 hours (Courses that in Christian Counseling)
- Electives – 6 hours (Any courses that we offer in any department)
- Project/Practicum – 6 hours
Core Concentration Courses
Core concentration courses provide the core study for your major. For the Master of Arts in Christian Counseling, these courses may come from any course with a Prefix of CNS and PSY. Eligible courses may be found below and descriptions can be found in our course catalog. Below is a sample of degree concentration courses. These may be switched and customized to meet your needs.
